(Currently completing an MA in Writing for Performance at Goldsmith's, Charlotte writes for film, television and theatre. Her play, 'Fading Hum' was recently performed at the 24:7 Theatre Festival in Manchester and her feature script, 'Ellie's Revenge' has been optioned by Royds Masons Films.)

 

Bind  written by Jackie Carreira, directed by Kate McCarthy

The newest ring-tones; the latest version of Zombie Commando 3; an extra 72 TV channels; Can three friends unchain themselves from the dead-end jobs that pay for their consumerist habits?

(Jackie spent twelve years travelling around the world as a professional musician before hanging up the bass guitar in favour of the pen. Jackie's 'The Meaning of I-Pod' was performed at Little Pieces of Gold's September 2010 showcase.)

 

Hope & Anchor written by Sally Torode, directed by Suzette Coon

All is not what it seems at the Hope & Anchor. A quirky, dark tale of hospitality gone strange.

 (Sally's  plays  have been staged at the National Theatre Studio and Theatre 503, and her work has received 5-star critical acclaim. Recent work includes the book for *Fresher. The Musical* which won the What's on Stage Award for Best New Musical at the 2010 Edinburgh Fringe festival.)

 

Closing Time  written by Paul Murphy, directed by Rachel Heyburn

 It's been a long night for the waitress in a city bar when an unexpected and unwanted final customer arrives. But the night takes an interesting and potentially life changing turn for both of them as they muse on life, relationships, blocked toilets and the benefits of book exchanges.

(Paul trained as an actor at RADA. He has completed writing workshops at Soho Theatre and as part of the Royal Court Young Writers Programme, and his short plays have been staged at Theatre 503.)

 

Pathos Wholesale written by David Griffiths, directed by Katherine Hayes

 In a world where even emotions have become a commodity, which emotion would you purchase? And would it make you happy?

 (David is a Liverpool born playwright. He is currently Associate Producer of cntheatre and his writing debut for the company - 'Ten Years Gone' - will be staged in January 2011. David's topical comedy, 'Excess Baggage', has been selected to take part in the Liverpool Write Now Festival 2011 at the prestigious Actor's Studio in Liverpool during April. It will be the first production for his own company, Rebel Base Productions.)
